Founder's Philosophy

"I turned to helping authors publish because everyone has a story to tell...I get great personal pleasure out of handing writers their finished books—and seeing how much joy they have in being published authors."

Milt Adams, President and Mentoring Publisher

Dave Brewster, Dml - Star Tribune

Guiding principles of Beaver's Pond Press

  • Authors come first

  • Authors have creative control

  • Authors retain all rights

Beaver's Pond Press, Inc, a Minnesota Corporation, was founded by Milton "Beaver" Adams in 1998 when he recognized voids in publishing resources for authors. Authors were frustrated by rejections from agents and publishers; they were shut out of bookstores and wholesalers--and they were writing books of lasting value!

He responded by creating a publishing company that gives self-published authors the resources they need to get through the gatekeepers of the publishing world. With resources for creating professionally edited and designed books, Beaver's Pond authors create books that resellers welcome with open arms--without agents and without losing control over the content of the book.

Beaver's Pond authors build lasting relationships with other authors, sharing book ideas and marketing solutions, providing support and encouragement throughout the exciting and challenging process of publishing. Many of our authors stay in touch for years after their first publication. Many have published multiple titles with Beaver's Pond.
